This story has a varied history! Sally decided, as soon as she started Vet School in 2002, that she wanted to be a dairy vet as she was fascinated by cows but also by how farms were run as businesses. She started Evolution Farm Vets in 2007. Brendan joined in 2012 and, with the support of their loyal farm clients, Evolution Vets became established and successful. Both Brendan and Sally, love being vets; but they also get tremendous pleasure from developing and running businesses and have always been keen to further develop this skill.
Sally and Miles met in New Zealand in 2004 through climbing on the famous NZ ignimbrite rock…..a fantastic way for Sally to learn to climb and for Miles to branch out from his original roots and love of Peak District grit stone.
Sally started CrossFit in 2016 and it instantly became her “must-do” daily activity in her ridiculously busy life, enabling her to keep up with the stresses and strains of running a business whilst also raising a young family.
When they got the opportunity to take on a huge space and develop it into a leisure facility, it seemed the obvious choice to go for Bouldering, CrossFit and Fitness……..it was the perfect balance, with the support of the local community confirming that they have made the right choice in the next phase of their business life.
We aim to give people in our local area an opportunity to get fit; to learn new skills; to make new friends; to find a new passion; to get healthy and to have fun.
We will offer something for everyone, from young children’s birthday parties, to local team fitness training, to school trips, to top level competition climbers and athletes, to building strength and fitness in the mature local community.
We offer CrossFit classes, coached to the highest level; bouldering from beginners to competition climbers and a fitness gym with all the familiar cardio and weights machines.
A CrossFit class can be likened to a personal training session but with the added benefit of other members with whom you can share the experience. We focus on teaching the movements well so that you are able to get the most benefit from every class. We will be with you every step of the way to help you reach your potential, develop your ability and watch you be surprised at what your body can do! We promote good quality movement whilst giving you measurable progress. We want to make this hour the most enjoyable hour of your day so that you want to come back tomorrow, and strive for more.
